Daily writing prompt
Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

There was no lightning, no grand parade,
Just quiet air, and the choice I made.
The door behind me did not slam—
It sighed, like it already knew I am
The kind who leaves to learn to stay,
Who breaks in silence to find a way.

I chose the harder road that day.
No map, no guide, just shades of gray.
But in the blur, I found my spine—
Each step alone was still divine.
I met myself without disguise—
Not in a mirror, but in my eyes.

I lost some friends, I lost some ease,
Grew roots in soil that scraped my knees.
But in the aching, slow and true,
I learned what pain can lead you through.
The lesson wasn’t loud or fast—
Just this:
Some doors are meant to close at last.
